Easy 4-Step Hoisin Chicken Rice Bowl

Feel like whipping up something quick and delicious? You're in the right place. This recipe is incredibly easy, simple and can be used as a healthy meal prep, yet doesn't sacrifice flavour and taste. Hoisin chicken is a classic, and with this recipe, a classic made easy.


Ingredients

1 lbs. ground chicken

2 green/spring onions, chopped

1/2 white onion, finely diced

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1 tbsp. olive oil

2 tbsp. soy sauce

1 tbsp. rice wine vinegar

1 tbsp. grated ginger or ginger paste

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 cup jasmine, rice, cooked

1/2 avocado, sliced

Stovetop pan


Directions

1. Heat olive oil in a stovetop pan on medium high for about 1 minute. Then, add chicken. Cook until browned, crumbling it as it cooks.

2. Add in white onions, garlic, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger and cook until onions become translucent (about 3-5 minutes).

3. Turn off heat, and add in most of the green onions (leaving some for garnish). Stir and mix well.

4. Serve on top of rice. Top with leftover green onions and avocado (and any other desired toppings). Enjoy!
