The holidays call for hearty cocktails like White Russians. This recipe substitutes traditional espresso for Chai infused vodka. It's a wintery, spicy take on the delicious creamy vodka cocktail.
Ingredients
**Makes 2 cocktails
4 ounces unflavoured vodka
2 Chai tea bags
2 ounces Kahlua coffee liqueur
2 ounces half-and-half (plus more to taste)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Cinnamon sticks and stare anise for garnish
Directions
Soak tea bags in vodka for at least 2 hours. Then remove tea bags.
In a cocktail shaker, combine chai infused vodka, half-and-half, Kahlua, vanilla extract and ice. Shake well.
Pour over ice and sprinkle with cinnamon, (add more-half-and half if you choose). Garnish with star anise and cinnamon sticks.
